Two very popular vertical dress up organizers are the Guidecraft Dress Up Carousel, and the Kidkraft Princess Swivel Vanity. Let’s dig into the both here, take a look at the pros and cons of each, and see if we can figure out which, if either of them, is a good fit for the room of your little dress up queen. Or princess, perhaps I should say. 😉

This page of Kidslovedressup.com is dedicated to sharing several kids books that will be a hit with YOUR kids if they love to dress up! The main character in each one is big into imagination, costumes, and pretend play. If your kids need a quiet time activity, check out these books for kids who love dressing up.

What I’m talking about are outfits that are not the typical princess gowns, are not the usual animals, like bunny or butterfly, that are not role play outfits such as “doctor” or “fire-fighter”.
These are all great, don’t get me wrong. But there are definitely advantages to having some unique pieces in your girl’s collection.

Toddler dress up shoes are a fantastic addition to your family dress up box. While wearing grown-up shoes is fun, it can get a bit cumbersome for your little one. Not to mention that your heels aren’t exactly SAFE for playing in for her (or for him, who’s kidding… my little guy loves to totter around sometimes in my shoes too LOL. Don’t tell his Dad ;)).

There are SO many different kinds of toddler dress up shoes out there… and not JUST girly princess style shoes. I’ve done some looking around for you online and have come up with some fantastic, highly reviewed, super-cute footwear. Take a peek and tell me what you think!

So, what type to get? Cute and Girly? Practical, Heavy-duty and Multipurpose? Or somewhere in the middle? Let’s dig in a bit and look at some of the pros and cons of both styles. I’ll also show you a few ideas and some good finds.

Here are a few of the different costume themes you as a parent or friend can explore in order to encourage your little man to have some fun stretching his imagination with dress up.
There are a few popular dress up categories for little boys, but “when I grow up” is one of the ones as a mother I love. That I want to encourage. I want my little guy to learn at an early age that it’s a GOOD thing to dream big. To explore options. To know that while it’d be wonderful if he follows in his father’s footsteps or does what his grandpa does when he grows up, that there are so many other fun things that he can do that might make him happy! (See my “When I Grow Up” dress up page!)
One of the best things about playing dress up for a kid, I think, is having OPTIONS. Especially in the area of dress up accessories.

What is that magical secret that makes that costume so wonderful? That makes a purchase worth the money?
After all, if your daughter is just going to leave a certain dress at the bottom of the box, or tucked at the back of the wardrobe, then why pay good money for it in the first place? How can you be sure of buying dress up clothes little girls will play with, basically until they grow out of them?
Little girls just love to dress up. And the m
Love them or hate them, these pretty Princesses have or will have your little girl wrapped around their fingers at some point or another. (The Disney marketing team is simply very, very good at what they do.) And when your little girl loves one of them, dress up clothes that are inspired by that favorite Princess are THE favorite outfit in the dress up box. They are cherished and worn A LOT.
So, who is your little girl’s Princess of choice? Elsa or Anna? Belle? Tiana, Jasmine, Merida, Cinderella, Snow White? There are so many ladies, but they all do have their unique appeal, and a unique look that your little girl will know well.
