Wow simply amazing ideas. I stumbled on your website accidentally and very happy I did!

My daughter is almost 4 years old and I think she would really appreciate many of your great ideas. I booked marked your site for future reference and I know my wife will take a look as well 🙂

    Thanks again!

      Hi Mike,
Thanks for your encouraging comment! I have a 4 year old daughter as well, and she’s definitely one of my big inspirations for this website… Kids LOVE Dress UP! My own very much included. In our house it’s very much Disney princess right now, but for the longest time it was firefighters and paramedics. What’s big at your house right now in the dress up world?
Are you looking forward to the school spirit dress up days in your daughter’s future?

Hawaiian Day? Really? Do you white people not realize that that’s cultural appropriation?! Imagine a bunch of non Native Hawaiians dressing in tacky grass skirts and fake leis! Imagine how offensive that is to Hawaiian culture!!

    • Marlaine December 4, 2017 at 2:59 pm

I’m sorry you feel that way – it was not meant as an offensive suggestion. Personally, I love the bright colors of the Hawaiian culture and the delicious food!

    • Kalani March 26, 2020 at 7:58 am

Michelle, you are the problem with society….”you white people” confirms your racism. Go away with your negativity. May God have mercy on your children.

      These are all great suggestions!

Fun is fun. I do not get insulted when “white” people as you so non-racially say dress up for fun. The association of the Hawaiian Culture is Aloha not hate. Do I dress up for Hawaiian day, usually not unless I wear a Kukui nut lei or Plumeria (fake) pin in my hair. But it’s not done to insult, but to have fun. Lighten up people.

well my daughter is having school spirit week and she doesnt know what to do on westurn day XD

    • Marlaine September 23, 2020 at 9:21 am

      Hi Bill,
Western Day can be pretty fun! A super simple way to get that “western look” is to add a bandana to her outfit if you can. Jeans, a plaid shirt, hair in a braid (or pulled back for sure), a bandana around her neck… she’ll look like she’s just getting back from a ride on her horse out in the sunshine/wind. Good luck!
